Emotions Are High Today

What a beautiful, sunny, Monday morning.  How blessed are we to have the freedom to be able to enjoy the blessings of it. Birds chirping outside our bedroom window waking us up even before the alarm.  The sun streaming through the cracks in the curtain telling us its gonna be a good day!!!

We, America, are celebrating the death of someone that has been on our radar for 10 years now.  Number one target. The focus of our hurt, anger, determination.

My mothers heart is heavy and my eyes are full.  There are so many emotions, its hard to know how one is "suppose to" feel on a day like today...

Benjamin,
Wade Slack,
Drew Gordon... boys, ten years ago when this all started.  As men, all soldiers. Wade, giving his life for his country, his family, us...

                                     March 22,1989- May 6, 2010

I know today is a day for us to rejoice in the death of evil.  And I do.  I hope it brings encouragement for those still serving, to finish their job, be proud of serving their country, and a sense of  accomplishment.  If that is even the proper word.

I hope they know, their mothers, brothers, wives, fathers, friends, co-workers, are holding them in their hearts...every moment, of every day.  We pray for, sometimes tear filled prayers, to a God who hears and knows. Whose timing is always perfect...

We will rejoice with you today and keep praying.  For your safe return home to those who love you.  The families of, and a country, who lost so much ten years ago.  For those who lost for the past ten years...

We will trust that God is who He says He is.  Evil will always be, and sometimes win the battles.

But God is God.

And the Victory is His.

Always.

Until you are all home, and we can hug you for ourselves...

Hugs From My Heart

For God And Country
