I just came across another blog that I have fallen for. Hooked On Houses. Julia writes...

I’m Julia, and it’s no secret–I’m hooked on houses.

After working for years as a freelance writer, I realized I had never had a chance to write about one of my favorite topics: houses. So in January of 2008, I started this blog to do just that.

I’m not a designer, and I’m not a “house snob.” For me, looking at houses is a form of entertainment. I love houses of every shape, size, and style. I think they have personalities, and it’s fun to get to know them.

She recently did a post on one of my favorites shows, Modern Family, and the "home" of  Phil and Clair Dunphy.  

I love the show and have loved this house, well, set.  But was so interested to see which colors they used, (for instance, I drool every time I see the entryway and wonder just what shade of blue it is) and now I know. 

Julie also shows the home of Mitchell and Cameron ... these two make the show!!!

ITS LATE AND I NEED CHOCOLATE!

Ok, so its 10 o'clock. I was minding my own business just looking through some of my favorite blogs before I turn in.  Note to self... Don't do that again!  Look at what I came across...

Ahh, yeah... That would be Reeses Peanut Butter Surprise Cookies.

  I. NEED. CHOCOLATE. NOW!!!

I mean seriously, look at those things!!!  And on a side note, did any of you realize Giffords Ice Cream has STOPPED making Chocolate Moose Tracks!  WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TOO!!!  I mean I went there everyday and ordered two scoops all summer just to do my part.

AROUND OUR BEDROOM...

I've been looking at all kinds of white rooms as of late...

I don't know if its the time of year, or that I'm just drawn to it but Blue Eyes painted our bedroom white over the weekend, and I love it...

Everything feels so clean, fresh, and just pretty.  I stole some things from the guest bedroom that I really loved... like the headboard, lamp and the chalkboard idea.  I love to shop my own house.  Its so affordable.
Which reminds me, I'm soooo having a huge lawn sale next month.  I'll keep you posted.

The last bedroom he painted for us was a beautiful brown, with flowy pink sheers . But this time, I just went for it...

When I asked him if he minded another girly room, he said...

"I really don't care what you do to our room... just as long as your with me every night. "

Yeah, He's that good.   (And see that beautiful, huge, white mirror above... I got it at T.J's for $4.50.  It has a crack in it.  I almost didn't bother with it but then I thought...  "Hey aren't we all a little cracked?" )

The Night Was A Success!!! But I Forgot The Pie At Home

In the business of the day...

helping Kate get ready for the dance...

altering the dress, painting the nails, and passing bobby pins to her cousin who was trying hard to finish up her hair, while I counted down the minutes until dinner...

somehow in all that hub-bub...

the chocolate cream pie got left at home... 

But after Timothys mums scrumptious dinner of mashed potatoes, home made stuffing, chicken and gravy... what more could we want!

The kids had a wonderful time, and were home safely, at a very reasonable hour. And Blue Eyes went home to get the pie anyway.

I'm a happy mum.

I just pulled this out of the oven...

to make this, for desert tonight...

We are going over to their house for dinner...

because these two, are going to a dance...

And of course just the right dress, shoes, and hairstyle have been picked out and decided on... FINALLY.

They really are so very sweet together.

Its sure to be a good time.  Pictures tonight.  Shhhhhh don't tell Katie, she hates it when I post pictures of her before she sees them.  Oh well... I'm paying for the dress.

SPRING, SPRING... IT IS ON ITS WAY. I JUST KNOW IT!!!

I've spent a bit of time this morning, sitting in my quiet, cozy, sunlit kitchen...  hot coffee beside me, Sophie at my feet just thinking.  Spring is sure to come right?! 

Well I got wandering on one of my favorite blogs, Clover Lane, and was encouraged with the thought of Spring, and all it brings with it...


Me and Blue Eyes... yeah right!

This is what my peeps would say Spring Cleaning looks like in our house with everything they love, hold dear, don't want thrown out, better be nailed down or else it goes, kinda thing.

If they only knew my grandmother... they would be much more grateful for me...

I picture myself Spring Cleaning all winter really...

So I don't get to overwhelmed when Spring actually does arrive...

But this Spring, I'm not only going to clean, I'm going to make a list... because I love lists !

Of things I need to clean... do, and hope to do.  Like make one of these...

So then when all is done, and my house smells and appears to be as clean as its gonna be, I can do more of this...

And spend the rest of my Spring looking sooooo very forward to this...    

    

A week at Eider Duck, on Monhegan Island.  Yeah, its all good.

And yeah, you can bet I'll be wearing plenty of these...
